Capacity
KYII is a one-person studio. I build my own products, and the instruments, essays and notes that show the thinking around them.
Everything here is shipped or being shipped: one product on the Chrome Web Store, one in private alpha, four instruments on the bench, and the writing that sits behind them. The work is the proof.
The current bet is Trace. Behind it sit years of marketing and growth work, now pointed at my own products first. No AI hype, no funnel theater.
- Own products, built for daily use first — Trace leads, Notes Not Ads is out
- Builder instruments that each ship a discipline: grill and verdict, pressure map, product anatomy, thinking compressor
- Evaluation harnesses that keep an AI-assisted tool honest before it ships
- Marketing and growth depth — positioning, message, acquisition logic, conversion path — applied to my own products first, and to select outside work
- AI as leverage on judgement, not a substitute for it
Most of my time goes into the studio's own products. Alongside that I keep room for a small amount of outside work — a collaboration, advisory, a focused build — and for partnership or investment conversations that fit what's shown here.
Anything joint starts small and diagnostic: find the real constraint first. If it's not something I can help with, I'll say so.
- The real constraint first, then the work
- Artifacts you can use — a decision, a map, a build — not a deck
- No pretending marketing can fix a product people don't want
Shapes this can take:
Letters with context, please. Whether it's Trace, one of the instruments, or something you're building — say what it is, where it stands, and what you want from me. Cold pitches get a short answer or none. If the answer is no, I'll say so quickly.
